The Red Thread

project overview
The Red Thread is a speculative visual communication project addressing clothing waste as a long-term consequence of climate change. Using a continuous red thread as a metaphor, the project traces the hidden chain of impact behind overproduction, pollution, labor exploitation, and environmental collapse. Designed as a system rather than a single artifact, the project unfolds through public installations, posters, symbols, a time capsule, and a zine—creating a message meant to survive beyond language and generations. By turning textile waste itself into a communicative material, The Red Thread imagines how today’s environmental mistakes could be read, remembered, and understood 1000 years from now.
